LAST UPDATED 22 SEPTEMBER 2026

Virtue Editions respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit www.virtueeditions.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

Who we are

Virtue Editions is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

What we collect and why

  • Order information — name, email, delivery and billing address, items ordered and payment status. Needed to perform our contract with you (supplying the artwork).
  • Contact messages — the name, email and message you send through our contact form, so we can reply. Basis: your consent, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
  • Newsletter sign-ups — your email address and the page you signed up from. Basis: your consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Analytics and referral data — pages viewed, device type, approximate location, referring link and partner referral code. Only collected if you accept non-essential cookies. Basis: your consent.

We do not ask for any data we do not need, we do not collect special category data, and we never sell personal data.

Payments

Payments are taken by Shopify (and, where you choose it, Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay) on Shopify's own secure checkout. We never see or store your full card details.

Who we share data with

  • Shopify Inc. — store, checkout, order and payment processing.
  • Prodigi — printing and fulfilment of your artwork.
  • Supabase — hosting of our newsletter and partner records.
  • Google (Analytics / Tag Manager), Refersion and GoAffPro — analytics and affiliate attribution, loaded only with your consent.
  • Klaviyo — email delivery, where you have subscribed.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK/EEA. Where that is the case, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Order and tax records: 6 years, as required by UK tax law.
  • Contact messages: up to 24 months.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics and referral data: up to 26 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to data portability. To exercise any right, email studio@virtueeditions.com. We reply within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local EU supervisory authority.
