Refunds and returns

LAST UPDATED 22 SEPTEMBER 2026

If a piece is not right, write to the studio. This policy sets out your legal rights and how we handle cancellations, returns, damage and refunds.

Your 14 day right to cancel

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you may cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving it, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Tell us within that period by emailing studio@virtueeditions.com with your order number. You then have a further 14 days to send the piece back.

Condition of returns

Please return the artwork unused and in its original packaging. We may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to inspect it.

Return postage

For a change of mind, you pay the return postage. We recommend a tracked, insured service, as the piece remains your responsibility until it reaches us. If the item is faulty, damaged or not as described, we pay the return postage.

Damaged or faulty pieces

Inspect your piece on arrival. If it arrives damaged or is faulty, email us within 30 days with photographs of the artwork and the outer packaging. We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund, including original delivery costs. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 continue beyond 30 days for faults that appear later.

How refunds are issued

Refunds are made to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the returned piece, or of you proving you sent it. We refund the price plus standard outbound delivery; we do not refund the extra cost of an upgraded delivery service you chose.

Exceptions

Pieces made to your own specification or clearly personalised, and bespoke commissions, are exempt from the 14 day cancellation right once production has begun. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty or not as described.
